DRS. CEDRIC & JOYCE OLIVER
Are visionary leaders that are passionately taking the Kingdom of God by force. The dynamic husband and wife team lead one of the fastest growing, most progressive, bible-believing ministries in Northwest Indiana. The two started out as youth pastors and went to an Azusa Conference where Dr. Myles Monroe taught a message on “Purpose.” After hearing the profound message, the two sought God for 6-months and the Embassies of Christ Ministries was birthed. The couple started out with only a 12 people and a vision from God.
DR. CEDRIC OLIVER
Dr. Cedric received a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Purdue University. He began a nineteen year career at Inland Steel as a laborer, later becoming the Operations Manager of one of the largest operating departments and overseeing a $53 million dollar annual budget. It was during his tenure at Inland that he received an MBA from the prestigious University of Chicago.
Dr. Joyce Oliver
Dr. Joyce received her Associates degree in Nursing Science from Indiana University Northwest. She served faithfully as a Registered Nurse for ten years at Gary Methodist and Mercy Hospital until she was called into full-time ministry.
Today, Drs. Cedric & Joyce are the Founders of Embassies of Christ Ministries, a 5,000-member church located in Gary, Indiana. Both pastors received honorary doctorate of Humanities degrees for their outstanding accomplishments in the community.
The church has a broad range of entities including Ambassador Christian academy – a school for children ages 2 yrs. – 8th Grade, Diplomat Plaza – a retail strip mall; Market City Inc. – an indoor/outdoor market with more than 150 vendors, 10 transitional housing properties for families in financial crisis; A senior home for aging seniors to age gracefully in a caring environment, and New Gary Community Development Corporation.
They also host the “You Have A Destiny” television broadcast which reaches more than 80 million households nation-wide and overseas. Embassies of Christ is making a significant impact in the lives of its membership and their community. Their vision is uncompromisingly clear, with one central principle; to build and develop a kingdom of empowered people for God who desire to have a heaven on earth lifestyle.
Holding firmly to the commissioned mandate in Matthew 6:10, “your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Drs. Cedric & Joyce Oliver understand the necessity to produce understanding in the hearts of God’s people. They believe in seeing the results of His power, and that God’s people must grow to a place where they begin to experience the favor and the power of God manifested in their daily lives. Their passion is to maximize the full potential of the lives of God people and continue to set the standard for excellence in ministry.
