Video Production Director
The Video Production Director is responsible for overseeing the video team and all content (original or acquired) for worship services and special events at the Embassies of Christ so that church attendees can mature in their knowledge of Scripture and understanding of God. The gift sets important to the fulfillment of this position include leadership, administration, and creativity. Must have a flexible schedule.
Ministry Oversight
Provides leadership to the video ministry by staying current with trends and improving the use of media
Programs and operates (or manages the oversight of) THE video switcher and directs camera crew through live production of all weekly services & special events
Understands and troubleshoots the All video-based video system. Such as camera, switcher, and streaming equipment
Participates in and contributes to weekly team meetings; assists the team by completing duties assigned during planning meetings
Provides supervision to the Video Specialist & volunteer teams in creating videos for weekly services, special events, conferences, concerts, and productions; produces promotions, commercials, and testimonials as needed
Keeping control room area current by presenting a professional working environment & maintaining accurate equipment inventory
Working with Technical Director on any technical needs or equipment purchases
Keeping accurate paperwork for warranty and maintenance issues
Managing and performing maintenance schedule for all technical equipment in your area
Researching and developing new products and making new project recommendations to Creative Arts Director
Oversee video production for worship services, including capturing the entire for service, B roll, and the virtual live streaming experience.
Create a system to receive a manageable number of requests from ministries or video production.
Attend all Special Production rehearsals. (Easter, Christmas, Concert, Plays, Conference et)
Working With Volunteers
Works to build and maintain highly functioning volunteers involved with the development of live video
Develops systems to ensure that all volunteers are equipped and empowered for service
Builds rapport with team members to influence growth and creativity
Other Responsibilities
The Video Production Director agrees to take on additional responsibilities as directed by the supervisor and as necessary for the continued development of the Creative Arts ministries of Christ Community Church. These responsibilities will most likely be added according to the gifts, passions, and talents of the employee will be designed to address the growing and changing needs of the ministry team and may be added at the initiative and discretion of the supervisor.
Relationships
Reports to and interacts most significantly with the Creative Arts Director
Works as a team member on the Creative Arts Team
Supervises the Video Specialist
Interacts frequently with the Technical Director, Lighting/Scenic Manager, Graphics Designer
Helps recruit, schedule, and supervise adult and student volunteers in support roles
Submits to the Senior Pastors
Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in media or graphic design related study, or the equivalent of 5+ years of related experience
Proficiency in live video production and HD-SDI Video Systems, Video Switcher, Camera, matrix router, recording gear, and digital video equipment -- Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and MS Office
Detail-oriented, good editing, writing, punctuation, and proofreading skills necessary
Experience recruiting, developing, and deploying volunteer teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility in scheduled work hours based upon special events and regular weekend services
Key spiritual gifts of leadership, creative worship, encouragement, and shepherding
Ability to fulfill the physical, mental, and emotional requirements of the position, and work within the necessary work environments, as listed in the attached ADA task list, which is considered an addendum to this job description
