Technical Director
The Technical Director will support the vision and mission of Embassies of Christ by overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the Media Team in regards to audio, lighting, and Projector. The Technical Director’s ultimate goal is to ensure that services and events across all facilities and ministries are able to utilize technology efficiently, effectively, and strategically in order to enhance the experience of those attending. Must have a flexible schedule.
While expertise in audio, lighting, and Projector issues is a must for this position, the emphasis is on empowering others to develop their skills, not doing everything yourself. The Technical Director should fully staff the needed positions and then be prepared to fill in, train, and troubleshoot when necessary.
Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain technical systems (Audio, Projector, and Lighting) to ensure that services and events across all facilities and ministries are able to utilize technology efficiently, effectively, and strategically in order to enhance the experience of those attending.
Maintain a reliable system for providing technical support for all worship services and events
This includes (but is not limited to):
Audio mixing, monitor mixing, and audio recording
Lighting production
ProPresenter
Prepare stage for rehearsals, worship services, and events
Initiate successful communication with pastors, Director of Music & Worship, ministry leaders, and event coordinators in order to help facilitate a/v needs.
Oversee and maintain a master list of all Embassies of Christ production equipment.
Develop an excellent level of production as it relates to audio, Projector, and lighting.
Communicate the vision to all production and tech team members.
Create systems that ensure all production stations are properly operated, serviced, and maintained including installation and training of team members on new equipment.
Attend weekly meetings (i.e. tech meetings, creative meetings, brainstorming meetings, production meetings & any other pertinent meetings) with the Creative team as needed.
Assist with stage/set concepts, designs, and installation in collaboration with the Creative Director.
Oversee the input of weekly service lyrics, special event lyrics, and graphics into Pro-Presenter.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor or Executive staff.

The successful candidate must be a fully devoted Christ-follower and fully support the ministry of Embassies of Christ Church. This individual’s
commitment to Christ will be evidenced in his/her personal life, family relationships, and ministry. His/her daily walk with God will be an example to others with which he/she interacts.
Expert knowledge of audio systems and large-format digital consoles Familiarity with personal monitoring and digital audio networks
